Cameron Johnson
Cameron Johnson (rest) off injury report vs. LAC
Thu, Mar 27, 2025, 11:16 AM
Brian Lewis
Cameron Johnson (rest) is not on the injury report against the Clippers on Friday.
Analysis: Johnson sat out against Toronto on Wednesday but isn't on the injury report against Los Angeles. He should return to his normal spot in the starting lineup, which will push Noah Clowney back to the bench and eliminate the streaming value that he held.
Noah Clowney
Noah Clowney (wrist) probable vs. Clippers
Thu, Mar 27, 2025, 11:12 AM
Brian Lewis
Noah Clowney (wrist) is probable to play against the Clippers on Friday.
Analysis: Clowney is dealing with right wrist soreness, but it isn't expected to keep him out of the lineup. Clowney started on Wednesday with Cameron Johnson (rest) out of the lineup, but he should return to a reserve role on Friday, though it is the first night of a back-to-back. He could return to the starting unit on Saturday.
Ziaire Williams
Ziaire Williams, Trendon Watford questionable
Thu, Mar 27, 2025, 11:11 AM
CJ Holmes
Ziaire Williams (illness) and Trendon Watford (illness) are questionable for Friday's game against the Clippers.
Analysis: Williams and Watford are both questionable with an illness for Friday's game against the Clippers. Jalen Wilson and Tyrese Martin are candidates for additional playing time if Williams and Watford are out Friday.
Dariq Whitehead
Dariq Whitehead plays 25 minutes vs. Toronto
Wed, Mar 26, 2025, 4:14 PM
Dariq Whitehead finished Wednesday's loss to the Raptors with nine points (3-of-10 FGs), two rebounds, one assist, one steal and three three-pointers in 25 minutes.
Analysis: Due to injuries, Whitehead has not been a factor in fantasy basketball in either of his two NBA seasons. However, now would be a good time for the Nets to see what they have in their 2023 first-round pick. The 25 minutes he logged on Wednesday were a career-high, and Whitehead shot 3-of-9 from beyond the arc. There's no need to consider adding the second-year wing, but he's worth watching as the Nets play out the remainder of their season.
Nic Claxton
Nic Claxton leads Nets with 22 points, 11 boards
Wed, Mar 26, 2025, 4:14 PM
Nic Claxton tallied 22 points (10-of-14 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs), 11 rebounds, one assist and five blocks in 29 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Raptors.
Analysis: Claxton was the only Nets standout in Wednesday's 30-point defeat, and his value has increased in recent weeks. Over the past two weeks, the Nets center has provided top-60 value to managers punting turnovers and free throw percentage. While the season has not panned out the way many Claxton managers hoped it would, he's been solid during the fantasy playoff weeks. However, with the Nets concluding Week 21 with a Friday/Saturday back-to-back, it's possible Claxton missed a game for rest reasons.
Noah Clowney
BKN starting D'Lo, Keon, Ziaire, Clowney, Claxton
Wed, Mar 26, 2025, 1:12 PM
NBA Lineups
D'Angelo Russell, Keon Johnson, Ziaire Williams, Noah Clowney and Nic Claxton will start Wednesday's game against the Raptors.
Analysis: Russell and Clowney are the two changes to the Nets' starting lineup. The former's return means Tyrese Martin will come off the bench, a role in which he offers minimal fantasy value. Clowney steps in for Cameron Johnson, who is unavailable for rest reasons.
D'Angelo Russell
D'Angelo Russell (ankle) absent from injury report
Tue, Mar 25, 2025, 11:21 AM
Sharif Phillips-Keaton
D'Angelo Russell (ankle) is not on the injury report for Wednesday's game against the Raptors.
Analysis: Russell can play on Wednesday after missing two games with a sore right ankle. With Cameron Johnson (rest) ruled out, Tyrese Martin may remain in the starting lineup, playing alongside Russell and Keon Johnson. Martin offers limited streaming value as a starter due to his inconsistent production.
Cameron Johnson
Cameron Johnson, Day'Ron Sharpe out Wednesday
Tue, Mar 25, 2025, 11:21 AM
Erik Slater
Cameron Johnson (rest) and Day'Ron Sharpe (knee) are out for Wednesday's game against the Raptors.
Analysis: The Nets and Raptors are heading for a “tank-off” on Wednesday, so Johnson's and Sharpe's absences aren't too surprising. Jalen Wilson, Noah Clowney and Trendon Watford are all candidates for increased run against Toronto.
Day'Ron Sharpe
Day'Ron Sharpe tallies 10 points, four steals
Mon, Mar 24, 2025, 4:15 PM
Day'Ron Sharpe logged 24 minutes in Monday's loss to the Mavericks, tallying 10 points (5-of-8 FGs), seven rebounds, four assists and four steals.
Analysis: While Sharpe has recorded three steals or more in three games this season, he isn't expected to provide value in that category on most nights. Rostered in 13 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Sharpe has provided 12th-round value in nine-cat formats over the past two weeks. Coming off the bench behind Nic Claxton negatively impacts Day'Ron's fantasy value, but Nets coach Jordi Fernandez has been willing to play the two together on occasion.
Cameron Johnson
Cameron Johnson racks up six turnovers vs. Dallas
Mon, Mar 24, 2025, 4:15 PM
Cameron Johnson tallied 17 points (6-of-13 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), two rebounds, eight assists and one three-pointer in 30 minutes in Monday's loss to the Mavericks.
Analysis: While fantasy managers can undoubtedly use the points and assists recorded by Johnson on Monday, there were issues. The 1-of-7 night from three wasn't a huge issue, as few fantasy leagues use three-point percentage as a scoring category. Unfortunately, the six turnovers will impact Johnson's value in nine-cat formats during Week 21. The good news is that high-turnover nights have not been the norm for Cam, who has been a fourth-round player in nine-cat formats over the past two weeks. The Nets play three more games during Week 21, starting with the Raptors on Wednesday.
Nic Claxton
Nic Claxton leads Brooklyn with 19 points Monday
Mon, Mar 24, 2025, 4:14 PM
Nic Claxton shot 8-of-11 from the field and 1-of-3 from the foul line in Monday's loss to the Mavericks, scoring 19 points with seven rebounds, three assists, one block and two three-pointers in 27 minutes.
Analysis: Claxton entered Monday shooting 1-of-16 from three on the season. Against the Mavericks, he made both of his attempts and shot 8-of-11 from the field. The points, rebounds and blocks are more reliable, so fantasy managers should not expect to see Nic turn into a face-up five overnight. However, with the Nets well out of the postseason race, these final games may be used as a testing ground for Claxton. We'll see if he becomes more willing to take perimeter shots after Monday's 2-of-2 effort from three.
Ziaire Williams
BKN starts Keon, Martin, Cam J., Williams, Claxton
Mon, Mar 24, 2025, 1:12 PM
NBA Lineups
Keon Johnson, Tyrese Martin, Cameron Johnson, Ziaire Williams and Nic Claxton will start Monday's game against the Mavericks.
Analysis: Williams is back after sitting out Saturday's loss to the Pacers with a hamstring injury. His return pushes Jalen Wilson to the bench, which lowers his fantasy ceiling. Martin will stay in the starting lineup and has some deep-league streaming value with D'Angelo Russell unavailable.
Ziaire Williams
Ziaire Williams (hamstring) available Monday
Mon, Mar 24, 2025, 4:47 AM
Erik Slater
Ziaire Williams (hamstring) is available for Monday's game against the Mavericks.
Analysis: Williams missed Saturday's game against the Pacers with right hamstring tightness, but is set to return Monday after a one-game absence. Tyrese Martin will head back to the bench with Williams returning to the starting lineup.
D'Angelo Russell
D'Angelo Russell (ankle) out Monday vs. Mavericks
Mon, Mar 24, 2025, 4:46 AM
Erik Slater
D'Angelo Russell (ankle) is out for Monday's game against the Mavericks.
Analysis: Russell is out again after missing Saturday's game against the Pacers. The 29-year-old point guard is dealing with right ankle soreness. Keon Johnson figures to continue starting with Russell out.
D'Angelo Russell
D'Angelo Russell, Ziaire Williams questionable
Sun, Mar 23, 2025, 1:42 PM
NBA Injury Report
D'Angelo Russell (ankle) and Ziaire Williams (hamstring) are questionable for Monday's game against the Mavericks.
Analysis: Russell and Williams sat out Saturday's loss to the Pacers, with Tyrese Martin and Keon Johnson filling the voids in the lineup. Those two will head to the bench if Russell and Williams are available, with Keon having a better chance of retaining his fantasy value.
Keon Johnson
Keon Johnson tallies 17 points, three steals
Sat, Mar 22, 2025, 1:56 PM
Keon Johnson accumulated 17 points (7-of-15 FGs), four rebounds, one assist, three steals and three three-pointers in 33 minutes in Saturday's loss to the Pacers.
Analysis: Johnson provided more of the usual on Saturday, recording a stat line that was nearly full while struggling with his percentages. Over the past two weeks, he's shot 40.2 percent from the field and 50 percent from the foul line. D'Angelo Russell not playing on Saturday raised Johnson's ceiling, even though he has been a consistent member of the starting lineup. Tyrese Martin started for Russell and finished with nine points, four rebounds, five assists and three three-pointers in 28 minutes.
Trendon Watford
Trendon Watford drops 26 points vs. Indiana
Sat, Mar 22, 2025, 1:55 PM
Trendon Watford amassed 26 points (9-of-14 FGs, 6-of-10 FTs), five rebounds, one assist, one steal and two three-pointers in 30 minutes in Saturday's loss to the Pacers.
Analysis: Two days after a solid performance against the Pacers came to a premature end due to his ejection, Watford made up for lost time on Saturday. The 26 points are the most he's scored in a Nets uniform and one shy of his career-high. While Watford is ranked outside the top 200 in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks, he's capable of having days like Saturday. The Nets play four games during Week 21, starting with Dallas on Monday.
Cameron Johnson
Cameron Johnson scores 20 points in return vs. IND
Sat, Mar 22, 2025, 1:55 PM
Cameron Johnson recorded 20 points (8-of-16 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), nine rebounds, five assists, one steal and three three-pointers in 37 minutes in Saturday's loss to the Pacers.
Analysis: Johnson did not play in Thursday's overtime loss to the Pacers, sitting out for rest reasons. He logged starters' minutes on Saturday, alleviating the concerns of fantasy managers who may have been curious about how much Johnson would play. His availability is worth watching moving forward, especially with the Nets ending their four-game Week 21 with a Friday/Saturday back-to-back.
Ziaire Williams
Ziaire Williams (hamstring) out Saturday vs. IND
Sat, Mar 22, 2025, 5:35 AM
Meghan Triplett
Ziaire Williams (hamstring) is out for Saturday's game against the Pacers.
Analysis: Williams was initially listed as questionable, but will ultimately miss Saturday's game against the Pacers with a hamstring injury. Cameron Johnson will take his spot in the starting lineup as he returns from a one-game absence due to rest, but Tyrese Martin and Trendon Watford figure to see increased minutes off the bench as well.
Cameron Johnson
Cameron Johnson (rest) off injury report Saturday
Fri, Mar 21, 2025, 11:38 AM
NBA Injury Report
Cameron Johnson (rest) is not on the injury report against the Pacers on Saturday.
Analysis: Johnson will be back after sitting out against Indiana on Thursday. Jalen Wilson started in place of Johnson, but he will likely return to the bench for Saturday's rematch. However, Ziaire Williams is questionable, so Wilson may remain in the starting lineup if Williams is out.
