Cam Thomas
Cam Thomas (hamstring) to remain out Saturday
Fri, Feb 21, 2025, 11:17 AM
Sharif Phillips-Keaton
Cam Thomas (hamstring) is out for Saturday's game against the 76ers.
Analysis: Thomas has been out since January 2 with a hamstring injury. While it was reported that he would participate in 5-on-5 scrimmages on Thursday, the Nets did not provide an update on how his hamstring responded to the session. He'll remain out for another game, and it's unknown when Cam will be cleared to play.
D'Angelo Russell
D'Angelo Russell (ankle) to remain out vs. 76ers

Meghan Triplett
D'Angelo Russell (ankle) has been ruled out against the 76ers on Saturday.
Analysis: Russell exited early from Thursday's loss to Cleveland and will remain sidelined for at least one more game. Brooklyn recently signed Killian Hayes to a 10-day contract, and he made his debut for the team on Thursday, finishing with five points and three assists in 21 minutes off the bench. He may get the chance to slide into the starting unit in place of Russell, but his fantasy impact will be minimal.
Cameron Johnson
Cameron Johnson leads Nets with 18 points in loss
Thu, Feb 20, 2025, 5:19 PM
Cameron Johnson led the Nets with 18 points (6-of-11 FGs), three rebounds, two assists and three three-pointers in a 110-97 loss to the Cavaliers on Thursday.
Analysis: Despite winning six of their final seven games entering the All-Star break, Brooklyn wasn't able to maintain their winning ways against the top team in the East. However, Johnson was still able to have a solid scoring night. Johnson's recent numbers haven't popped, but he has been a reliable scoring option on a tanking team. Johnson ranks inside the top 50 in nine-cat leagues this season, but he's been just inside the top 100 over the past month, which is more in line with what managers should expect from him for the rest of the season.
D'Angelo Russell
D'Angelo Russell exits early vs. Cleveland
Thu, Feb 20, 2025, 5:15 PM
Meghan Triplett
D'Angelo Russell (ankle) exited early on Thursday and finished with just three points (1-of-7 FGs), five assists and one three-pointer against the Cavaliers.
Analysis: A right ankle sprain ended Russell's night prematurely, but he was still ineffective in his 18 minutes on the floor. The Nets play their next game in Philadelphia on Saturday, and if Russell remains out, there will be an opening in the starting lineup at point guard. Killian Hayes, who recently signed a 10-day deal with Brooklyn, logged 21 minutes in this game and finished with five points, one rebound, three assists and one block. He will have a chance to fill the void if Russell is out, but he will be a risky streaming option.
Nic Claxton
Nic Claxton records 8/9/4/2/3 line vs. Cleveland
Thu, Feb 20, 2025, 5:02 PM
Nic Claxton posted a full line on Thursday with eight points (4-of-10 FGs, 0-of-4 FTs), nine rebounds, four assists, two steals and three blocks against the Cavaliers.
Analysis: Claxton entered the All-Star break on a hot streak and picked up right where he left off in Brooklyn's first game back. Overall, Claxton's season has been disappointing, but his recent production has been great, specifically due to an increase in blocks. Swats have been his strongest category in recent years, but his blocks have dropped from 2.1 last year to just 1.4 this season. However, this was Claxton's sixth straight game with multiple blocks, which has contributed to his top 100 production over the past month.
Noah Clowney
Noah Clowney (ankle) ruled out Thursday vs. Cavs
Wed, Feb 19, 2025, 11:19 AM
Sharif Phillips-Keaton
Noah Clowney (ankle) is out for Thursday's game against the Cavaliers.
Analysis: Clowney missed Brooklyn's final seven games before the All-Star break with a sprained left ankle, and he is not healthy enough to play on Thursday. Ziaire Williams has been his replacement in the starting lineup and is worth streaming in deep leagues until Clowney is healthy enough to return.
Cam Thomas
Cam Thomas to play five-on-five Thursday

Erik Slater on Twitter
Cam Thomas (hamstring) will participate in five-on-five scrimmages on Thursday.
Analysis: Thomas has been out since January 2, and the Nets' leading scorer could be nearing a return. Thursday's scrimmage will be the first time that he has participated in five-on-five since injuring his hamstring. The tanking Nets may be cautious with their young bucket-getter as the season winds down, but there's still a chance he gets back on the court before the end of the 2024-25 campaign. For now, he can be left on IL or on the waiver wire for teams without a free roster space.
Killian Hayes
Killian Hayes to sign 10-day contract with Nets
Wed, Feb 19, 2025, 7:26 AM
Shams Charania on Twitter
ESPN's Shams Charania reports that the Nets are finalizing a 10-day contract with Killian Hayes and waiving Bojan Bogdanovic to clear a spot on the roster.
Analysis: Bogdanovic will undergo season-ending surgery, and he'll finish the 2024-25 season without having played a single minute for the Nets. Hayes has averaged 21 points and 8.3 dimes for the Nets G-League affiliate, and he'll get a shot with the parent club. Hayes is worth a speculative add in deeper leagues, but he's not someone to rush to the waiver wire to grab in standard leagues.
Bojan Bogdanovic
Bojan Bogdanovic (foot) out for season

Shams Charania on Twitter
ESPN's Shams Charania reports that Bojan Bogdanovic will undergo season-ending foot surgery.
Analysis: Bogdanovic last took the court on April 28, 2024, and he'll miss the entirety of the 2024-25 campaign. His continued absence will have no impact in the world of fantasy hoops.
Cameron Johnson
Cameron Johnson has 16/6/3 line in win over 76ers
Wed, Feb 12, 2025, 4:28 PM
Cameron Johnson had 16 points (6-of-14 FGs), six rebounds, three assists, three steals, one block and one 3-pointer against the 76ers on Wednesday.
Analysis: Johnson is yet to score at least 20 points in the four games he's played since returning from a right ankle sprain. The 28-year-old small forward is making some progress in that he's played at least 30 minutes in two of those four games. Look for better things from Johnson after the All-Star break. With Ben Simmons off the team and Cam Thomas still hurt, Johnson is one of Brooklyn's only options on offense.
D'Angelo Russell
D'Angelo Russell has 22/5/4 line in win over 76ers
Wed, Feb 12, 2025, 4:27 PM
D'Angelo Russell had 22 points (9-of-15 FGs), five rebounds, four assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in the Nets' 100-96 victory over the 76ers on Wednesday.
Analysis: Russell has played over 30 minutes just once since the Nets acquired him from the Lakers. The 28-year-old point guard played just 26 minutes Wednesday, but was highly efficient on offense as he scored 22 points on 15 shots and fished out four assists. The lack of high total minutes caps his ceiling, but the Nets don't have many other options for offense outside of Russell right now.
Nic Claxton
Nic Claxton (ankle) available Wednesday vs. 76ers
Wed, Feb 12, 2025, 12:55 PM
Nic Claxton (ankle) is available for Wednesday's game against the 76ers.
Analysis: Claxton was initially listed as questionable with an ankle injury and then was deemed a game-time decision. Ultimately, the 25-year-old center will be available against the 76ers. Claxton hasn't missed a game since January 14, though he has had a disappointing season for fantasy managers.
Nic Claxton
Nic Claxton (ankle) questionable Wednesday vs. PHI
Tue, Feb 11, 2025, 10:31 AM
Erik Slater on Twitter
Nic Claxton (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's matchup with the 76ers.
Analysis: Claxton is in danger of missing his first game since January 14. If he's unable to go, expect Day'Ron Sharpe and Trendon Watford to handle center duties.
Cameron Johnson
Cameron Johnson plays 25 MIN in win over Hornets
Mon, Feb 10, 2025, 4:25 PM
Cameron Johnson accumulated 14 points (5-of-9 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), five rebounds, three assists, one block, and two three-pointers in 25 minutes in Monday's win over the Hornets.
Analysis: Johnson recorded a solid field-goal percentage, and the rebounds and assists were solid, but the playing time likely concerns managers counting on him for more production. The Nets wing has surpassed 30 minutes in one of the eight games he's played in 2025, and it would be unsurprising if the playing time decreased at the All-Star break. While the departures of Dennis Schroder and Dorian Finney-Smith had the desired effect as far as Brooklyn's front office is concerned, fantasy managers who have Johnson or D'Angelo Russell (11/3/4/1 with one three-pointer in 23 minutes) rostered need to watch the Nets roster for potential “silly season” standouts.
Trendon Watford
Trendon Watford accounts for 13 points, four dimes
Mon, Feb 10, 2025, 4:24 PM
Trendon Watford shot 4-of-8 from the field and 2-of-2 from the foul line in Monday's win over the Hornets, tallying 13 points, two rebounds, four assists, and three triples in 20 minutes.
Analysis: Watford, limited to 17 games this season due to injuries, shot 3-of-5 from beyond the arc on Monday. He's made multiple three-pointers in three games, and the 13 points were five shy of his season-high. While Watford can potentially be a “silly season” contributor, his health struggles are a concern. Keep an eye on him after the All-Star break, as there's no need to stash him right now.
Day'Ron Sharpe
Day'Ron Sharpe drops 14 points, nine rebounds
Mon, Feb 10, 2025, 4:24 PM
Day'Ron Sharpe logged 19 minutes in Monday's win over the Hornets, scoring 14 points (7-of-12 FGs) with nine rebounds, two assists, and one blocked shot.
Analysis: Sharpe had one of his best games of the season, as the 14 points were two shy of his season-high against the Pacers on January 6. Add in the nine rebounds, and this was the kind of performance that may get him on a few deep-league radars ahead of the “silly season.” However, there's no need to add him now, as Nic Claxton remains in the starting lineup. If that changes later in the season, Sharpe will be worth a look in deeper formats.
Nic Claxton
Nic Claxton drops 16 points, complete stat line
Mon, Feb 10, 2025, 4:23 PM
Nic Claxton shot 8-of-13 from the field in Monday's win over the Hornets, scoring 16 points with four rebounds, one assist, two steals, and two blocked shots in 24 minutes.
Analysis: On a night when six Nets scored in double figures, Claxton led the way with 16 points. He's reached double figures in five of his last six games, providing fifth-round value in nine-cat formats. However, Claxton's rebounding production has taken a hit. Averaging 7.4 caroms per game on the season, he's accounted for 6.2 per over his last six outings, including a four-rebound effort on Monday. While there has been some improvement recently, this remains a disappointing season for Claxton managers.
D'Angelo Russell
D'Angelo Russell (illness) available vs. Charlotte
Mon, Feb 10, 2025, 11:57 AM
Brooklyn Nets
D'Angelo Russell (illness) has been upgraded to available to play against the Hornets on Monday.
Analysis: Russell was initially listed as questionable, but he will suit up to play against Charlotte. Russell will look to get back on track after shooting below 40 percent from the field in each of Brooklyn's last three games.
D'Angelo Russell
D'Angelo Russell (illness) questionable Monday
Sun, Feb 9, 2025, 12:34 PM
NBA Injury Report
D'Angelo Russell (illness) is questionable for Monday's matchup with the Hornets.
Analysis: D'Lo is yet another addition to a burgeoning list of injured players for the decimated Nets. Expect Keon Johnson to see an uptick in usage if Russell is forced to sit this one out.
Nic Claxton
Nic Claxton posts double-double with four blocks
Fri, Feb 7, 2025, 4:26 PM
Nic Claxton finished Friday's win over the Heat with 12 points, 10 rebounds, one assist, two steals and four blocks across 31 minutes.
Analysis: Claxton posted a double-double for the first time since January 22, and though his scoring and rebounding have fallen off recently, he's buoyed his fantasy value with elite shot blocking. The big man has recorded multiple blocks in three straight games, and over his last seven, he's averaged 2.4 swats. Brooklyn faces Charlotte on Monday, and Claxton will look to stay hot on offense after blocking a season-high six shots against the Hornets on January 29.
