Noah Clowney
Noah Clowney hits four triples in spot start
Mon, Nov 3, 2025, 4:26 PM
Noah Clowney shot 5-of-14 from the field and 1-of-2 from the foul line in Monday's loss to the Timberwolves, scoring 15 points with six rebounds, one assist, two steals and four three-pointers.
Analysis: With Michael Porter Jr. (personal) unavailable, Clowney made his first start of the season on Monday. And he wasn't bashful, putting up 12 three-point attempts and making four. The points, rebounds, steals and three-pointers were solid, with Clowney providing some value to the few adventurous souls who streamed him. In the short term, his value depends on Porter's availability. However, with the Nets now 0-7, Clowney should definitely be on your “silly season” radar.
Cam Thomas
Cam Thomas leads Nets with 25 points in defeat
Mon, Nov 3, 2025, 4:18 PM
Cam Thomas accounted for 25 points (10-of-24 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), two rebounds, three assists, two steals and one three-pointer in Monday's loss to the Timberwolves.
Analysis: One day after scoring 29 points against the 76ers, Thomas dropped in another 25 on Monday. He's scored 25 points or more in four of Brooklyn's first seven games and is averaging 24.3 per. However, Thomas's fantasy value in category leagues remains low due to his limited assist and defensive production. On Monday, he was solid in the assist and steal categories but remains ranked outside the top-100 in eight- and nine-cat formats.
Nic Claxton
Nic Claxton posts 19/8/7/0/1 line vs. Minnesota
Mon, Nov 3, 2025, 4:15 PM
Nic Claxton finished Monday's loss to the Timberwolves with 19 points (6-of-6 FGs, 7-of-12 FTs), eight rebounds, seven assists and one blocked shot.
Analysis: Claxton has been one of the few bright spots for the 0-7 Nets, especially over the last three games. He's scored 18 points or more in each, including consecutive 19-point efforts against the 76ers and Timberwolves. Monday's stat line included seven assists, the most in a game for Claxton since recording a career-high 10 dimes in a March 6 game against the Warriors. Over his last two games, Nic has recorded 12 assists and four turnovers, an excellent margin for a center.
Noah Clowney
BKN starts Martin, Thomas, Mann, Clowney, Claxton
Mon, Nov 3, 2025, 12:40 PM
NBA Lineups
Tyrese Martin, Cam Thomas, Terance Mann, Noah Clowney and Nic Claxton will start Monday's game against the Timberwolves.
Analysis: The Nets won't have Michael Porter Jr. for Monday's game, as he is away from the team for personal reasons. Brooklyn will go big, inserting Clowney into the starting lineup. While a capable pick-and-pop option, things haven't necessarily clicked consistently for the 2023 first-round pick. Look for Ziaire Williams and Jalen Wilson to pick up additional minutes off the bench.
Michael Porter
Michael Porter Jr. (personal) out Monday vs. MIN
Mon, Nov 3, 2025, 11:20 AM
Brian Lewis
Michael Porter Jr. (personal) is out for Monday's game against the Timberwolves.
Analysis: Absent from the initial injury report, Porter will miss Monday's game for personal reasons. More minutes will be available to Jalen Wilson and Ziaire Williams, with the latter being more likely to move into the starting lineup. Whoever receives the nod will be worth streaming in deep leagues, but Williams offers a higher ceiling.
Nic Claxton
Nic Claxton posts 19/7/5/1/3 line vs. Philadelphia
Sun, Nov 2, 2025, 3:02 PM
Nic Claxton accounted for 19 points (8-of-11 FGs, 3-of-6 FTs), seven rebounds, five assists, one steal and three blocked shots in Sunday's loss to the 76ers.
Analysis: While Claxton did not record his second double-double in as many games, he had his most productive all-around performance on Sunday. After blocking one shot total in Brooklyn's first five games, he recorded three against the 76ers. Fantasy managers are accustomed to punting free-throw percentage when rostering Claxton, but the hope is that he'll bring more to the table as a shot-blocker. Hopefully, Sunday's performance is a sign that he'll be able to do that consistently.
Michael Porter
Michael Porter Jr. grabs career-high 17 rebounds
Sun, Nov 2, 2025, 2:59 PM
Michael Porter Jr. finished Sunday's loss to the 76ers with 17 points (7-of-23 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), 17 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one three-pointer.
Analysis: Porter had a rough night from beyond the arc, making just one of his 12 three-point attempts, negatively impacting the field-goal percentage. However, he was elite on the glass, grabbing a career-high 17 rebounds. Porter heads into Brooklyn's four-game Week 3 providing top-75 value in eight-cat formats, which aligns with his Yahoo! ADP. However, while his fantasy ceiling is higher with the Nets than with the Nuggets, there may be some concern regarding a late-season shutdown with Brooklyn rebuilding.
Cam Thomas
Cam Thomas scores 29 points, does little else
Sun, Nov 2, 2025, 2:55 PM
Cam Thomas accumulated 29 points (9-of-19 FGs, 7-of-7 FTs), one rebound, one assist and four three-pointers in Sunday's loss to the 76ers.
Analysis: The good news for fantasy managers is that Thomas provided value in points and three-pointers. However, that's about all that he did on Sunday. Not only did he record just one rebound and one assist, but there were defensive lapses that factored into Kelly Oubre's 22-point first quarter for the 76ers. Thomas, an unrestricted free agent next summer, will get his points. However, his financial ceiling in free agency will be determined by what he brings to the table in all areas, not just scoring.
Terance Mann
Terance Mann (illness) available vs. Philly
Sun, Nov 2, 2025, 9:47 AM
Brian Lewis
Terance Mann (illness) is available to play against the 76ers on Sunday.
Analysis: Mann was a late addition to the injury report, but he'll be able to suit up despite an illness. He'll occupy his typical spot in the starting unit, which means there won't be an opportunity for Jalen Wilson or Tyrese Martin to slide into the opening group.
Terance Mann
Terance Mann (illness) now questionable vs. 76ers
Sun, Nov 2, 2025, 7:38 AM
NBA Injury Report
Terance Mann (illness) is questionable to play against the 76ers on Sunday.
Analysis: Mann is a late addition to the injury report, and there is a chance he doesn't suit up against Philadelphia. That would open up a spot in the starting lineup, which will likely be filled by Jalen Wilson or Tyrese Martin. Either would have limited streaming appeal as a starter.
Ziaire Williams
Ziaire Williams (back) absent from injury report
Sat, Nov 1, 2025, 11:23 AM
C.J. Holmes
Ziaire Williams (back) is not on the injury report for Sunday's game against the 76ers.
Analysis: Williams is back after missing two games with a back injury he suffered during the Nets' October 26 loss to the Spurs. His return means Jalen Wilson's playing time will decrease after he logged 23 and 21 minutes in the two games that Williams missed.
Terance Mann
Terance Mann dishes out team-high six assists
Wed, Oct 29, 2025, 5:05 PM
Terance Mann accumulated 11 points (5-of-9 FGs), five rebounds, six assists, one steal and one three-pointer in Wednesday's loss to the Hawks.
Analysis: There will be growing pains with the Nets using three of their five first-round picks in June's draft on lead guards (Ben Saraf, Egor Dëmin and Nolan Traoré). However, that also means some of the team's more experienced players may have opportunities to make plays for others. Mann fits the mold, and his six assists on Wednesday were the second-most a Nets player has recorded in a game this season (Cam Thomas had nine against Cleveland on October 24). Mann isn't at the point where he's a must-add player, but he's worth watching due to the Nets' young roster.
Nic Claxton
Nic Claxton records 18/12/1/0/1 line vs. Atlanta
Wed, Oct 29, 2025, 5:01 PM
Nic Claxton recorded 18 points (8-of-14 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs), 12 rebounds, one assist and one blocked shot in Wednesday's loss to the Hawks.
Analysis: Claxton recorded his first double-double of the season on Wednesday, and rebounding has been a struggle for the 6-foot-11 center. He's averaging 6.6 boards per game through five appearances, but that number is boosted by Wednesday's effort and a nine-rebound performance against the Cavaliers on October 24. In his other three games, Claxton grabbed five rebounds or fewer. Claxton is a player that fantasy managers draft with the expectation that they'll have to punt free-throw percentage, not rebounds.
Cam Thomas
Cam Thomas tallies inefficient 19 points vs. ATL
Wed, Oct 29, 2025, 4:59 PM
Cam Thomas shot 6-of-20 from the field and 5-of-6 from the foul line in Wednesday's loss to the Hawks, tallying 19 points, one rebound, three assists, one steal and two three-pointers.
Analysis: While Thomas is averaging 23.3 points per game this season, his field-goal percentage has significantly damaged his fantasy value. He's shooting 39.5 percent from the field, which would be the lowest of his five-year career. Thomas is going to get his numbers, and the fantasy value should improve over the course of the season. However, inefficiency was a concern, especially on a team that's limited regarding playmakers who can set up their teammates. Thomas will look to clean some things up when Brooklyn hosts the 76ers on Sunday.
Michael Porter
Michael Porter Jr. scores game-high 32 points
Wed, Oct 29, 2025, 4:38 PM
Michael Porter Jr. accounted for 32 points (12-of-20 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), nine rebounds, two assists, one block and four three-pointers in Wednesday's loss to the Hawks.
Analysis: Porter notched his second 30-point game of the season on Wednesday, one shy of his tally for the 2024-25 campaign. While he's no longer in a situation where contending for a title is the expectation, moving from Denver to Brooklyn has raised Porter's offensive ceiling. Porter has been close to a top-50 fantasy player thus far, with limited defensive production and a 70 percent mark at the foul line weighing down his value.
Ziaire Williams
Ziaire Williams (back) ruled out vs. Atlanta
Wed, Oct 29, 2025, 5:35 AM
NBA Injury Report
Ziaire Williams (back) has been ruled out against the Hawks on Wednesday.
Analysis: With Williams sidelined for a second straight game, Jalen Wilson will continue to play added minutes off the bench. He logged 23 minutes on Monday and should see a large opportunity once again, but he isn't worth streaming in standard leagues.
Ziaire Williams
Ziaire Williams (back) questionable Wednesday
Tue, Oct 28, 2025, 11:16 AM
Meghan Triplett
Ziaire Williams (back) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Hawks.
Analysis: Injured during the third quarter of Sunday's loss to the Spurs, Williams did not play in Monday's loss to the Rockets. Fellow reserve Jalen Wilson played 23 minutes in Williams' absence but provided limited streaming value. Neither player is a must-roster option in fantasy leagues, regardless of format.
Day'Ron Sharpe
Day'Ron Sharpe records double-double off bench
Mon, Oct 27, 2025, 5:15 PM
Day'Ron Sharpe contributed 17 points (6-of-7 FGs), 12 rebounds, two assists and one three-pointer against the Rockets on Monday.
Analysis: There weren't many bright spots in this game for Brooklyn, but Sharpe was able to record his first double-double of the season off the bench. He played 22 minutes to Noah Clowney's 16 and was significantly more productive. Though Nic Claxton will continue to be the team's starting center, Sharpe has been able to showcase his upside early on this year. He's worth stashing in dynasty leagues and could be really productive in March and April.
Michael Porter
MPJ tallies 18 points in blowout loss to Rockets
Mon, Oct 27, 2025, 5:10 PM
Michael Porter Jr. finished with 18 points (8-of-13 FGs), four rebounds, two assists and two three-pointers on Monday against the Rockets.
Analysis: Unsurprisingly, Porter has been featured heavily on offense to start the season. However, that has only led to one big scoring night, and it wasn't on Monday. This was an efficient night for MPJ, but he set a season-low for shot attempts. MPJ was drafted in the sixth round of Yahoo! leagues with the idea that he would be a high-volume scorer for the Nets to start the year. He'll need to shoot more against the Hawks on Wednesday to bounce back.
Terance Mann
Terance Mann scores team-high 21 points in loss
Mon, Oct 27, 2025, 5:07 PM
Terance Mann led the Nets with 21 points (8-of-11 FGs), six rebounds and three three-pointers in a 137-109 loss to the Rockets on Monday.
Analysis: Mann has been starting for the Nets, but he hadn't been contributing much on the offensive end. However, he popped out of nowhere to lead them in scoring in this one. Mann has never finished inside the top-150 in nine-category leagues, and that's unlikely to change this season, even though he's starting. He can confidently be left on the waiver wire in standard leagues, even if this was a strong performance.
