Cam Thomas shot 5-of-12 from the field in Sunday's loss to the 76ers and finished the game with 18 points, three rebounds, two assists and three triples across 27 minutes.
Analysis: No surprises here as Thomas led Brooklyn in scoring. That's something the third-year guard has done all season, and he finished the breakout campaign with career highs in points (22.5), rebounds (3.2), assists (2.9), three-pointers (2.2) and field goal percentage (44.2). Thomas led Brooklyn in scoring in 2023-24, and over the final month of the season, his 26.5 points per game ranked eighth in the Association. It remains to be seen if he can offer anything to fantasy managers other than inefficient scoring and three-pointers, but the 22-year-old has emerged as a premier bucket-getter who should be great in points leagues moving forward. |

Mikal Bridges turned in eight points (3-of-8 FG), two rebounds, an assist and two triples across 25 minutes Sunday in a 107-86 loss to Philadelphia.
Analysis: Bridges capped off his 2022-23 season with a strong string of performances after his trade to Brooklyn, and his draft stock soared ahead of the 2023-24 campaign. Bridges was regularly drafted as a second-rounder, and managers who took him that high were stung as he finished as fantasy's 90th-ranked player on a per-game basis. Bridges' scoring average fell from 20.1 to 19.7, though his field goal attempts rose slightly from 15.3 to 15.9. Bridges shot 43.6% from the field, marking his least efficient shooting since his rookie season in 2018-19. This season showed that he's better as a team's second or third offensive option rather than its go-to. His defensive stats and percentages suffered, and Bridges' ADP should fall significantly in 2024-25 fantasy drafts. Bridges once again played every game of the season, extending his Cal Ripken-like streak of availability, and he was a top-55 player in totals. Fantasy managers who are apprehensive about his per-game contributions can take solace in the fact that he hasn't missed a game in his NBA career. |

The veteran point guard has surpassed the 20-point mark for the second time in three games, and the nine assists were the most in a game for Schroder since April 3 against the Pacers (11). With Dennis Smith Jr. (hip) sidelined, Schroder is essentially the only point guard interim coach Kevin Ollie trusts. Whether or not that ensures he'll play in Brooklyn's final two games remains to be seen, but Dennis is in a good place availability-wise. |
